Can someone explain what CX/BH feel like?

I keep getting period type cramps under my bump. Also i'm getting some really sharp pains in my fanjo (right where my clitorus is)

Now there is no regularity to these things.
I had about 10 of those sharp things in about 1/2 hr and the cramps are constant aches.

Thanks all.

how many weeks pg are you ?

scorpio1 · 27/12/2007 19:34

like a band around your tummy, from top to botom that tightens and tightens then releases.

nothing to do with other fanjo parts!

can you have paracetemol? you are allowed when pg. get a hot water bottle to put on your back, may help cramps.

When are you due - you quite often get stabby pains in your fanjo as the baby gets into position for the off and BH can be painful (at least mine were).

Contractions feel different to everyone I think. Mine felt like period pains, but started off like I'd eaten too much. Then they went onto backache like my period was starting, then sort of squeezy pain (hard to describe). Then ahhh bliss, had a caesarian

I never had the band Scorpio says - so you see, different for everyone. However if you have had 10 in half an hour and constant cramps you might want to call your MW to get checked, esp. if you aren't past 37 weeks yet. Otherwise have a warm bath, two paracetamol and eat some toast and rest. Just in case it is your big day today!

I'm 39 weeks pregnant now.

I've not had any BH pains or CX pains yet then if this isn't them does this matter?

The only thing that hurts are the sharp pains so i'm ok for pain at the mo.

ooh how exciting. I had bh from 23wks with dd2. Towards the end they became regular irregular iykwim. then when I went into labour they were definatly regular.

scorpio1 · 27/12/2007 19:40

i know, am 25 weeks pg with my first little girl (3rd baby) and so hoping for a repeat of his birth!

Good luck!

LuckyStarOfBethSalem · 27/12/2007 19:41

I don't think i'm in labour (due in 1 week ) but its just wierd pains and am slightly worried i'm not going to know when I am in labour (first baby, home birth)

Scorpio

Ooh how exciting LuckyStarofBethSalem - some people never feel BH before the labour (lucky sods). Hopeful the sharp pains are just your ligaments softening or the baby descending onto the cervix ready. A bath may help. Good luck. Let us all know when you start having regular contractions, I need to start knitting for my latest!

LuckyStarOfBethSalem · 27/12/2007 19:50

I'm hoping this is the start of it then, I've been getting really leaky nipples for the past few days having to wear breast pads all the time etc and the odd sharp pains, i'll be glad to start motherhood instead of just being the fat wench! lol

I had funny pains in the top of my thighs in the last week. I also had a homebirth with dd2 and dd1's birth was so crap, midwife only arrived 10 mins before dd born as coped with contractions really well and didn't realise it was going to be that soon.

You will know when they are for real. I think with all pg's you think every pain is labour after 36wks, or maybe it's just wishfull thinking

LuckyStarOfBethSalem · 27/12/2007 19:55

yeh, probably wishful thinking on my part

Cheers all.
