Morning, just wondering are there any breech babies who were born with no hip problems or is it almost guaranteed they will have them? I have extended breech Sad

Plenty born without problems. Being breech just increases the risk of hip issues. Doesn't make it a guarantee!

My daughter was extended breech and completely fine, she just held her legs in the breech position for a week or two after she arrived. They scanned her hips when she was about 6 weeks old just to double check everything was ok.

Most breech babies are fine 🙂 It’s really not that uncommon to present as breech. They’ll do an ultrasound anyway to make sure all is well with baby’s hips, and if there is a problem they’ll catch it early and can start treatment in good time, which usually means a really good outcome.
Best of luck!

Another one who had no issues! They scan breech babies because there's an increased chance of issues and they want to catch it early if it's going to need treatment - but most won't need it!

My baby was breach throughout the entire third trimester and hip scan was absolutely fine!!
