Chelsea and Westminster Maternity Services

Hello Mums!

I understand that if you plan to deliver at Chelsea and Westminster they can transfer you to West Middlesex Hospital. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone? If so, what sort of circumstances caused it?

My husband and I don't drive and Chelsea and Westminster is convenient but I have no idea how we'd get to West Middlesex. Thanks!

No experience of this but I imagine it would only happen if C&W were full, but if you have no way of getting there, they'd probably look to move others before you.

I was born at West Mid nearly 34 years ago 😊
