Having a bath after c section?

I had an emergency c section 11 days ago. I have dissolvable stitches. When would be ok to start having baths again?

Yes absolutely fine. A short soak in the bath will be lovely. I did it at a few days PN whilst still in hospital, it was paradise, albeit getting out the bath was quite the challenge

It's fine and a bit of salt in the bath will help prevent infection.

But really it's better to ask HV about these things than randoms on the internet! :)

My disclaimer for advice is being a midwife 👍 salt only has antibacterial properties in massive amounts, tea tree oil is better
