Hi all!

I'm only 19 weeks pregnant but have had a discussion with my consultant about whether or not I want an elective c section or VBAC.

For context my first labour ended up in emergency section at fully dilated (I was in pushing stage- induced labour, pessary then drip. labouring for over 24 hours, baby heart rate dropping and they we're taking blood from his head to test his oxygen levels) it turns out he had his umbilical cord wrapped up around him.

My consultant is fully supportive of VBAC and said 60% of woman successfully have a VBAC.

Just wondering if anyone had any experiences to share? For VBAC, planned sections and also another emergency one?

Thanks all :)

I had emergency c section all very traumatic and took a elective the second time.
I was just too nervous. My daughter had to be resuscitated and I couldn't risk that again

If you're on Facebook, VBAC UK is a very useful page.
