Implanon side effects

I know this is the childbirth section but there is no topic for contraception and as I am trying to AVOID childbirth again I am hoping there are some new mums out there who have had the implanon implant fitted.

I had the implant put in at the beginning of November and I really just wanted to know if anyone has had mood swings since having the implant put in??
Im am one of those lucky/annoying people who very rarely gets down about things, I dont get depressed or tearful Im usually quite cheerful but just lately I have felt pretty fed up and on the brink of tears if baby is playing up, this is 3rd baby so am pretty used to the usual sleepless nights, teething etc.
Im not REALLY depressed or anything, I just feel down and I dont know if it is just pre Christmas stress or if it has something to do with Implant.
Has anyone else found that the implant has changed their mood??
Im going to give it a couple of months before I make any decisions on implant but any replies would be helpful.

sorry never had this but if you don't get any replies here try posting it in health - I've seen this sort of query there before. Hth.

I had implanon for years before DS - planned! Didn't feel down so see how long it lasts although I would say 6+ weeks is a fair trial, although your Dr may want to try a couple more cycles?
I loved it, but won't go back to it for a while
