Im 39 weeks and yesterday and today on a few ocassions I have felt a very distinct "pop" and then expected my waters to come out, it feels exactly what I imagine waters breaking would feel like but nothing comes out.

Its really bizarre and wondered if anyone else knew what I was talking about!?

i remember a very distinct pop when my waters did break - keep and eye out for any fluid and maybe phone the mw/labour ward. All the best! Aaah a christmas baby [fmsile]

There is definitely nothing coming out. It happened in the bath last night and I said up and expected gush but nothing, had a litle wiggle but still nothing.

Has happened 3 times today, each time when Ive been sat on the toilet!

I had a hindwaters break before my first labour... there was a definite ping from the top of my bump, to the left and the friend in the room at the time also heard it and was dumbfounded!

But I wouldn't have thought that there'd be loads as once the tension is gone there couldn't be more pops, could there?

sorry no help here then, other than if you're worried contact your mw!!

PeckaRolloverAgain · 19/12/2007 19:15

Im not worried just fascinated as to what it could be!

It feels almost like a popping when something is double jointed ? You know like a bone popping in and out of joint - or a cork coming out of a bottle!

Hope its not her little limbs!

hi cheritongirl !

Pecka - I got that popping like when you crack a joint ALL the time during the second and third trimesters - not just when I was due to give birth or when my waters broke. No-one could ever explain it, although I do remember a few others I spoke to had had it too.

Pecka, LOL!! the "if you're worried contact your mw!! " was with tongue firmly in cheek!
