You need a long walk, always worked for me..

SheWoreYellow · 08/12/2021 17:58

Acupressure points! Google it but web between thumb and forefinger and nipples worked for me.

Nillynally · 08/12/2021 18:04

I was a 16 dayer and tried everything. The only thing that worked was the cervical gel in hospital, was contracting within minutes, 7 hours later nice baby girl!

peoniesandpastels · 08/12/2021 18:05

Definitely give nipple stimulation a go. I was advised to start harvesting colostrum at 36 weeks so I spent about 30 minutes the morning of the day I turned 36 weeks hand expressing. Went into labour late that afternoon, baby was born at 11.30 that night.

Could be a complete coincidence but I would definitely say it's worth a try.

bubblebath62636 · 08/12/2021 18:38

Definitely sex! I went into labour the following morning.

Good luck op and get to it 😂

nellly · 08/12/2021 18:52

Sex and hours of bouncing on the ball to get him to put pressure on my cervix got things going for me Grin

Thefaceofboe · 10/12/2021 06:49

Any sign OP? Grin

happytoday73 · 11/12/2021 08:43

OP we are all sat here 🤞... That you naturally went into labour, nice and easy delivery and sat at home with your new born having snuggles...

Is anyone still overdue ? My due date was 05/12 and I’m so ready to meet my baby but am starting to feel like I’m the only one left waiting :(

heelforheelandtoefortoe · 14/12/2021 16:02

I was 3 days early but properly fed up. She was a big baby and i'd had a difficult pregnancy (placenta prevaria and spd)

Did sex, did hot food, did driving over speed bumps, did jasmine oil in the bath, raspberry leaf tea, dancing around to some good music, lots of walks - none of it worked

What worked was getting a sweep but did feel like a horse had kicked me in the fanny.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 14/12/2021 16:10

Raspberry leaf tea, red wine, hot curry, pineapple, pineapple juice, long walks, ball bouncing, dancing, nipple twiddling and comedy sex...

None of it made a damn bit of difference.

Filled the time, though, I guess.

Loveteathebest · 14/12/2021 16:35

I have tried everything at this point and am just terrified of having to go into hospital. This isn’t even my first baby! I’ve had a sweep and have another one tomorrow but I am just not feeling like the baby wants to come at all :( feeling really down today

Red14213 · 08/01/2022 11:14

I was due on the 1st Jan 22 and now 1 week overdue. My midwife had me booked in for a sweep on week 39 but when I went to the hospital for it, it was a different midwife and she said that they dont do it until the week of the due date and pushed it to the 10th Jan...10 days after I'm due! Still no sign of baby coming have done everything from walking, eating spicy food and even pineapple, bouncing on the ball and even sex! And nothing! Could cry as I genuinely feel she is never going to come out. I can't make plans to do anything as I have the fear I will go into labour in the middle of the day when out and aboutSad. Anyone else been nearly 2 weeks overdue? I really dont want to be induced as I've heard this is more painful

Mischance · 08/01/2022 11:20

All of my three babies were a long time overdue - with the first I simply stopped believing that it would ever come out!

With the third I lay on the bed and imagined that I was breast feeding. Went through the whole process: baby crying, picking up baby, undoing my clothes, putting baby to breast etc. It worked! My guess was that if feeding brings on uterine contractions then it might just work. Worth a try!

Loveteathebest · 08/01/2022 14:24

I went 10 days overdue and felt really worried about having to be induced as well. I had an appointment with the midwife to discuss induction at 12pm on 15/12 and on 14/12 I had a big cry to my husband at dinner time. Our little boy decided to arrive at 1.45am on 15/12 😂 I don’t know why he came when he did but I had just given up on the home birth I so badly wanted and then he was born on our living room floor with my husband as our midwife ! I am sure your little girl will come soon @Red14213 keeping my fingers crossed for you x

BunnyRuddington · 08/01/2022 16:25

@Red14213 there's still time yet. My DF was booked to be induced and went into Labour naturally 2 hours before she was due at the Hospital.

@Secondtimemama32 I'm guessing that baby isn't still in there? Smile
