Ive had my baby! A lovely little girl. Thankyou to everyone who helped and advised me here on mumsnet when I posted new topics every week!

Re: my stand and deliver thread, just wanted to tell you the conclusion.

I did stand - inspired by what a lot of you had said. She was out in 8 minutes, after four pushes.
The actual labour itself was horrendous again (2nd baby). It was slow probably due to her position. I had an epidural and a drip. But found that lying down or even sitting down on my bum was agonising. Being upright definately helped. Once the drip was on, I just stood, quite still and held on to DH, I could feel her dropping into place.

Thankyou to all of you for inspiring me to do that.

lovely ! so you made it to the hospital the other night in enough time !

congratulations on the safe arrival of your little girl.. great you could feel her drop into place and push her out ! was she OP?

make sure you get lots of rest ! have a babymoon... and enjoy getting to know your baby girl
