Consistent period pain

Hi, I am 35+5 weeks and looking for advice. I have had what feels like period pains on my right since 5am this morning that haven’t gone away. I rang triage just now but she told me to have a rest, a snack and a drink and the pain should go away. I have been doing that all day! Has anyone else experienced pain like this? It’s just a dull ache rather than actually hurting me and baby is still moving about..

That was me starting labour. For me the pain wasn’t any worse than period pains until the pushing stage.

How long did you have them before you knew you were in labour if you don’t mind me asking ?

I've had this for over a week now - I'm 40+6 today and still no labour!

Oh I hope baby is here soon for you! @mooloop
Is your pain consistent?

@Firstbaby1234 yep on and off throughout the day every day! It's so frustrating 😂 hope you have a more straightforward time of it Smile

Mine were only for about 12 hours to be fair. I popped to the midwife for my appointment and I was 6cm dilated.

Call back after an hour and say it hasn't worked, see what they suggest then.

Another thought, see if you can get a self test for UTI at any local pharmacy?

They seemed to have stopped that night when I went to bed! Haven’t had them since so fingers crossed it was nothing to worry about! baby is still very active!
