C section recovery- burning pain

I had my second c-section last week and initially found my recovery quite good. However in the last few days I've actually found the pain to be getting worse rather than better.

I have a burning pain which is mostly concentrated on the right side of the incision. I don't remember having this first time round.

I'm still taking paracetamol and some codeine.

Anyone else experienced this? Getting up for night feeds is so painful.

Sounds like an infection, can you see a dr and get some antibiotics, you do not want to go septic. I did have a sharp pulling pain after my second, which was not an infection and the obgyn injected something into it which helped and eventually it went away. But a burning pain suggests infection.

I remember having burning pain in my incision if I moved too quickly or twisted too far to pick my little boy up out of his cot, best to get it checked just as a precaution x

I never had anything like that. I remember it being more of a short sharp pain if I moved too quickly. Maybe worth getting checked for infection?

Get it checked out. My sister had similar and she had infection in and needed antibiotics. Don't wait.

Thanks everyone, what a day. Got it checked at a midwives clinic who said they thought it could be a haematoma, and they sent me to the hospital for a scan.

Hospital never even mentioned haematoma, and also said it doesn't look like an infection. They gave me an extra 5 days of anti inflammatories but did take bloods to check for signs of infection.

I'm due for a check up in 3 days anyway so hoping I'm in better shape by then.

Thanks for all the advice.
