Postponed induction

Been isolating for 4 days after my covid test came back negative waiting for a call to head in to hospital for induction. Every time I've spoken to delivery suite they have said they are full and understaffed. I've been "next in line" on the list since 3am but still not been invited into the hospital. I understand completely that emergency situations are taking priority but im so fed up and upset and my partner is wasting his leave because we really thought we'd be in hospital welcoming our baby girl by now.

I know it is soo frustrating but your time will come. Especially when you just want to get in there and get started to meeting your baby. This happened to me and a lot of my friends I think it’s fairly standard when busy doesn’t make it any easier mind. My app was a Saturday so rang and got told it would be the next day as they were busy, I rang back the next day and ward manager said she would call me back on the afternoon which she did and they had me go in at 8pm.
