Bloody show or mucus plug ?? 38+4 sorry TMI!

Hi all! I’m currently 38+4 with DD2 and had this this when I wiped this morning…. Do you think it’s a show or just mucus plug? Been having lots of BH and cramping. Did it mean labour was near for you?

A bloody show is bits of the mucus plug coming away, so technically it's both. I started to lose mine a couple of weeks before labour, but if you are having other signs of labour you could be very close.

A show is just the name for when the mucus plug comes away from the cervix.
If it’s jelly in substance, like snot, it’s probably your show and the cramping is a sign of very early labour
