Hi, I’m due to go to pinderfields this week for an induction.
I keep hearing stories of people waiting days for a bed.
Anyone given birth at pinderfields in last few weeks? How did it go?

I was due to be induced at pinderfields on 4/9/21. I was induced on 6/9/21 but tbh could have been way longer if I wasn't admitted to antenatal ward due to high blood pressure and baby's heart rate being too high when I went in for my daily monitoring once induction was delayed. Some women were waiting for 3-4days to be brought in.

The wait was frustrating, I did have to wait 36 hours for a bed on labour suite to get my waters broken after my pessary was taken out. The staff really were amazing though and working there absolute hardest, I can't fault the midwives there at all, none of the delays were their fault! Unfortunately they were just so short staffed. Hopefully they've caught up since I was in. If it's any consolation, I've heard that calderdale hospital is having the same problems so it's not just pinderfields
