Pessary positives - 24hrs after waters

Hi all. My waters broke this morning at 39+6. Contractions have been sporadic throughout the day. Movements all fine and heartbeat checked, no concerns. We are due to go back up to hospital at 7am tomorrow for the pessary. I was just wondering about the pessary - is it much different to the drip? I had the drip with my first and my epidural failed so was really hoping for a less 'interventional' birth. Looking for positives! Hoping I get some sleep between the contractions tonight!

@Em45634 how many weeks were you? This sounds fantastic Grin

My second daughter arrived today bang on 40 weeks. They didn't do the pessary, straight to the drip which I was petrified of but it could not have been a more pleasant experience. I'm seriously over the moon with how it went. Thank you for your positivity! X
