AIBU? Third csection at 40 weeks

I'm due to have my third csection in October and when I went for my consultant appointment at the hospital the registrar realised there wasn't actually any space to fit me in for a csection on my 39th week because they can only do three a day.
She wrote me in for my csection at 40 weeks but put a note on it saying 'this needs to be changed'.

However I rang today and the lady I spoke to said this is unlikely to be changed as they are too full up.

I feel like I've been left too late (not by my own fault) and now my csection date is also too late! It's my third csection so I'm terrified of going into labour and ending up with an emergency csection like I did with my first. I can't help but feel angry with the hospital for not booking me in earlier and for not having another option but other than going private I'm not sure I have any choice but to wait.

Can you email and ask for a change? I was booked for 39+5 and felt it was too late. Emailed the consultant with all my concerns and they changed to 38+6 x

I’ve heard of this happening so often 🤦🏼‍♀️ Sorry you’re having this experience. My friend was told this but they had no space for 2 weeks. I was only a few weeks behind her and this panicked me. When I spoke to the consultant I told him this had happened to my friend and I was desperate to have my date booked so he booked it in there and then after listening to me going on. Since then I’ve heard it happen to another friend a few weeks ago and she had to have her bag packed and be ready to go for a certain week then they’d just phone and tell her when 😕 my anxiety couldn’t cope with that! Hope you manage to get something sorted but not sure what to suggest

I was booked in for 40+1 because they had no space, I said I felt it was too late and wasn't happy so they put me on the waiting list

Had a call last week (at 36+3) to tell me I was now booked in at 39+1

I would ask to be put on waiting list for earlier, assuming they have one
