Ice Chewing ???

How common is this? Does anyone know what the craving ice is caused by? I checked for anaemia but my iron levels are fine. Mine is an obsession. Perhaps it's the smoking replacement! Ayurvedics would be horrified I know that, but there ain't no stopping me. I once tried to quit....lasted an hour.

My sister chewed ice cubes through all three of her pregnancies - think you just have to give in to your craving - at least there's no calories in ice!!!

things like eating coal, mud,that sort of thing

wanting to crunch ice is not that bizarre, and it will help keep you hydrated.

i had a craving for strawberry hubba bubba . i had to have a filling at 37 weeks

at least ice is sugar free !!

yes, ice here to - although with only one of my pregnancies. Luckily it was summer so I ate hundreds of ice pops.

I too am addicted to crunching ice,just give in to it,at least it doesn't cost! lol

I have a serious ice craving, but it has to be perfect ice, just half sized cubes and the ones with air bubbles in have just the right crunchiness. Oh God, please go faster freezer.

I craved ice with all three pregnancies. It wasn't too bad with dd1 & the dt's as they were born in the summer but dd4's birthday is March.

It's freezing here(all the ground is still frosty outside) and I still can't stop eating ice.
