How long after an episiotomy can I use bubble bath or shower gel?

Am sick of not being able to put anything other than lavender oil in my bath!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I used shower gel pretty much straight away with no evident ill effects.

Depends how long its been. Could irritate if not properly healed, and can lead to things like thrush, which you could be more prone to if you've had anti-biotics following a difficult birth.

Hypericum and Calendula oil is great for healing wounds and helping scar tissue. Available from Neals Yard or online.

HTH

Well it's been nearly three weeks now - is that long enough?

yeah, go girl. if you feel things have healed, and your midwife has checked and said this, you should be fine.
