VBAC- did you go into labour near your due date?

Hi all
I'm going for a vbac for my second child. My due date is 15th October and my consultant has booked a c section for 19th October if I go overdue. I am really keen to try for a labour but feel like I might need more time to push the c section back....
anyone who had a vbac- when did you go into labour?

@brushlaptop hey op sorry can't help as yet as I am due my vbac in 6 weeks ish 4 days doesn't sound like long is there a reason for that ? I have an elective booked in for if I am a week late (my choice ) I don't want to be in induced and I feel in my head if she hasn't started coming by then the strain on my scar is increasing etc and the chance of a vbac is decreasing but that's just my opinion my gap between births are small so my risk of rupture is higher.
Did you go into labour naturally last time ? I was 3 days late and my waters went and I started contracting fairly soon after she wasn't born until 40+5.
I've read that second babies on average come at 39 weeks

Just had my VBAC, actually at home. My first I went into labour 40+6 but ended up in emergency c section due to "failure to progress"
This time I went into labour on my due date.
I refused to have a c section booked in as I didn't want a "date to work for" and I said I w oils discuss it if I got to 42 weeks as that is the end of the term period.
You can decline the date and/or push it back as far as you are comfortable. They can do additional monitoring if they or you are worried.

I was due on 25 Oct, cs booked for 8 Nov and went into labour spontaneously on 18 Oct (still ended up with an emcs though!). This was 10 years ago.

Thank you so much for your replies! I'm going to try to push it back to at least 41 weeks, so keen not to have another c section!!

Ds2 was supposed to be a vbac but turned up 6 weeks early (his brother was over 2 weeks late)
