Early labour?

I've been having what I assume are braxton hicks for about 10 days (I'm 37+4) since Monday they have been getting worse and I've got awful backache. I've been feeling really sick and unable to eat much. I went to hospital as I've been getting a lot of watery discharge too. She said I'm 2cm, it's not my waters and sent me home.
I can barely stand I've got awful period type pains and backache and feel so sick.
Could this be early labour?

Is the pain constant or does it come in waves?

sunflowersinwindow · 15/09/2021 16:41

The worst pains come in waves but there's a full ache all the time x

Have you timed them? I had similar and it definitely wasn't BH as there were regular spaces.

I'd contact your midwife and see what she says. Did they put you on the monitor? It measures contractions as well heart beat etc.

I had this with no 3. I was convinced it was contractions and then they'd stop 🙄

It isn't fun though and I do feel for you. Are you able to sleep? I'd rest when you can and have some.nice warm baths x

How are you this afternoon @sunflowersinwindow?

sunflowersinwindow · 16/09/2021 18:46

@DominicRaabsTravelAgent I'm still getting the tightenings, maybe not as frequent as yesterday but they start again if I try to do anything. I still feel so sick and have no energy, I couldn't even stand up in the shower earlier x

That does sound horrible. Has your MW ruled out a UTI?

sunflowersinwindow · 16/09/2021 19:44

@DominicRaabsTravelAgent I don't think so? Apparently I had lykocytes in my wee though? X

I'd contact your midwife again and tell her how I'll you are feeling.

Waters broke 3 days later and 5 days after she arrived!
