So I am currently 41 + 2 I had my second sweep this afternoon, she said she was quite low down and cervix is more open than last time, anyway I believe I’ve now lost my mucus plug/ bloody show it’s been coming out over past few hours and I’ve been having period type pains since the sweep which I would say have gotten more painful but not really really bad just like a sharp period pain in my lower Abdomen that comes and goes every so often. Could this be early labour or mean labour is coming? What’s everyone’s experiences? I don’t want to get my hopes up incase it’s nothing but if not I have to be induced Friday which I’m dreading id much rather her come naturally

It sounds like it could be! Best of luck Smile

That sounds like classic labour to me!

Oh I love these threads.

Sounds like early labour to me. Best to keep track.

I didn't realise I was in early labour, I just thought I had back ache.

Sounds like you’ve started labour. Even if the pains are light, do time them! All the best.

Megan2018 · 08/09/2021 22:28

Sounds probable, but it might be a slow burn. My friend was like this for 2 days before it got going.
I’d walk and bounce - get moving (but some sleep too).
Good luck!

Sounds like it to me!

You can get period type feelings because of the sweep but it could be labour too. Keep moving if you can and keep timing them. Good luck.

Might be, might not. Sweeps can sometimes just irritate everything. Fingers crossed this is the start.

Take some paracetamol, have a bath, get to bed and try get some sleep. If it’s labour it will carry on and pick up. So t get bogged down timing at the moment when you could be sleeping.
Disclaimer…. I’m a midwife

They last about 30/40 ish seconds feel like bad period cramps not exactly regular maybe every 10 /15 mins not sure but maybe they’re jusy from the sweep I’m not sure hopefully it’s the start of something though as I really don’t want to be induced Friday

Trying to sleep and get some rest but they’re quite painful so can’t sleep but feel like bad period pains more than anything
