Tight stitching

Hi!

Hoping somebody has any experiences similar that they can share.

I had a baby 10 months ago and had a consistent feeling of a dull ache, not painful just uncomfortable. Sometimes it certain positions such as sitting i can feel a small pea size lump in vagina. Anyway appt with nurse and she said it was a skin tag, then another appt with Dr who said its not a skin tag but its where ive been sewn tight its puckered the skin slightly so theres an extra little flap of skin on the inside vagina entrance. It makes sex a bit uncomfortable 😭 has anyone had similar with the extra skin? She did say its healed well, stitching is neat and looks good just obviously have this annoying extra bit and a small tight feeling (aware there are many ladies worse before im told)
GP said i either leave it and itll stretch out over time or she can refer me to be restitched but that will mean more scarring and could potentially have issues from that too?

Thank you

Yup, they stitched me exactly the same. It took a year or so till it didn't cause an issue anymore with sex and I barely notice it now.

Yes I had this, the tight stitching caused a pea sized cyst at the top of the episiotomy just inside my vagina. I've just given birth to another baby and had a 2nd degree tear and my consultant who stitched me found it and removed it and sent for histology. I'm so glad it's gone.
