Building up walks after c-section…

I know it’s a case of ‘everyone’s different’ but just wanted to hear other people’s experiences of going out for walks after their c-section. We went for our first walk with the pram today (day 7) and I hadn’t expected to be feeling this good this early. I’m going to do another short walk tomorrow but how did people build it up without doing too much too soon? We’d normally walk the dog round a loop that’s around 45 minutes but I don’t know at what point to aim for that, 6 weeks? Sooner?

Take it slow and listen to your body. If you need to stop and sit for a breather then do it.

With my first (EMCS) I felt fine without any meds and walked the mile to town and back on day 5 as normal.

With my second (ELCS) I needed the pain meds, had to do a 3 mile school run twice a day from day 7 which was manageable but had to stop every now and then as I could feel my scar pulling a bit.

@DoucheCanoe thanks that’s reassuring.. the walk we went today was very very short and not much of a walk at all so I should probably just walk slowly but walk a bit further
