Anyone who has had a home birth do you have to go up to hospital with new baby to be checked ?

I am planning my first home birth 3rd pg and am 35 weeks. I have seem midwife bu forgot to ask how baby get's the newborn check usually done by doc before your discharged anyone know ?

Sweetkitty - I had to go for Anti-D jab at the surgery 48 hrs after DS was born. Another mw poked her head round the door and said "So you're the homebirth..."

To OP - MW arranged for GP to come and do ours, think it was the next day. Generally postnatal care pretty patchy tho ime
