Someone entertain me through the night - we are only 2 mins from hospital as im at my dads so dont want to go tooooooo early

from another Nov antenatal thread-er

purpleflower · 29/11/2007 00:49

Good Luck, I've got my fingers crossed it all goes well for you.

hunkermunker · 29/11/2007 00:54

Mine were never longer than 45 seconds when I had DS2. They didn't believe I was in proper full-blown labour until about 5 minutes before he was born!

JARM · 29/11/2007 00:59

going to wake DH - see what he thinks!

im still not convinced this is it - although after my sweep this afternoon anything is possible.

that contraction timer is saying 40-50 secs each and 2-3 mins apart!

hunkermunker · 29/11/2007 01:03

That's what mine were almost up to when DS2 was born - and this is your third baby, JARM!

Really hope it all goes well for you - have you got the bf supportline numbers in your bag?

hunkermunker · 29/11/2007 01:08

Am going to bed now - will be thinking of you and sending easy birth and good latching-on vibes.

Try stroking his palm to get him to open his mouth wider btw - tis a reflex in newborns, apparently.

And don't panic either - you're having a healthy, term baby. He'll be fine for a bit while you work bf out. Just take it easy, breathe, relax your shoulders and try to feed within an hour of his birth.

Enjoy it, lovely - you're doing an amazing thing tonight!

Saturn74 · 29/11/2007 01:25

Good luck, JARM

talktothebees · 29/11/2007 01:40

JARM · 29/11/2007 01:56
