Csection and sterilisation

Hi I’m having a csection end of this month and have been considering being sterilised at the same time (third and definitely last baby). Has anyone done this? How was it? Would you recommend? Many thanks

I had my tubes cut during my c section of my third. Recovery was fine but... and it's a big but...6 months after I found out I was pregnant. I knew there was a failure rate but it turns out that the failure rate is increased when having the procedure done during a c section as everything is swollen, "out of place". Plenty of women have this procedure done during sections and it turns out fine. I had my tubes cut again during my c section of my 4th (and my husband had a vasectomy) and so far so good!
The only thing I have found is my periods are heavier since having my tubes cut the first time but I'm not sure if that's related or not.

Thank you @THNG5 wow must have been a huge shock for you all! Yes I’m worried periods etc would be heavier they were already horrendous not sure just to get the coil instead
