I can't find any recent threads (excuse if there are some) about any tricks which have actually brought on labour? Thanks in advance ladies!

Sorry not really any advice. I tried everything with both dcs and they were both a week late! I just think they come when they are ready really. I would just say try and relax if you can apparently when the body is relaxed it can help start labour!

Raspberry leaf tea. Eat pineapple. Sex but you probably don’t feel like that 😂 bounce on an exercise ball. Long walk. Hot curry. Are you over due OP or just fed up? Good luck, it won’t be long, very best wishes.

Thank you! I’m overdue and trying to avoid induction/csection but nothing seems to be working! 😩

Aww it’s horrible I know. I had a show two weeks before DS1 was born, convinced myself I was going to go into labour, no luck. I was getting quite stressed, in the end after avoiding alcohol throughout my pregnancy I had one glass of wine to try to relax, I went into labour early hours of the morning, the day before he was due. DS2 was born 10 days early. Good luck, I hope you will be holding your little one very soon Flowers

My NHS trust does a post date clinic with acupressure and aromatherapy. I went at 40+4 and contractions started exactly an hour later, baby born the next day. Absolutely certain it was the acupressure!

I had a bath with a few drops of clary sage oil, drank two cups of raspberry leaf tea, and went into labour that night

Sorry op, if there was anything you could do at home that worked then no one would ever be overdue.

Have you been offered a sweep? With both of my previous pregnancies I had a sweep and then went for a very long walk, both times baby was here within 24 hours of the sweep

Foot massage! Worked twice for me Smile
