POLL : How Long Between A Show And Labour????

Ok, am 40+1, just had a show.

I know it could mean nothing yet, but I want experiences of how long between a show and labour!

With DD2 it was 6hrs

1 week ! but i was 39 weeks

any pains? bloody show? any leaking?

a little bit of a bloody tinge to it

have had on-off contractions for 2 days

ARGHHHHHHHHHH

About 6 months I think.

(wanders off innocently whistling whilst remembering numerous threads trying to JARM to deliver Rebecca)

get with the sex and nipple stim, my girl... raspberry leaf tea, bath and early night.. don;t stay up waiting , you;ll know when it happens !

I plan to - cant wait up - im too tired after 3 hours of 5 mins apart last night!

I didn't get mine until I was in labour and midwife had a little probe to see how dilated I was.

No sign of anything yet other than i cant sleep and cant get comfortable.

No matter what I do, I just toss and turn. DH is snoring, so ive given up, come downstairs to bounce in my ball.

Didnt have sex tonight - DD1 is ill and i didnt really fancy disturbing her tonight to get her to my dads house (he lives 2 mins from hospital so makes sense for him to have girls at his)

If im still awake at 2am I might go and wake him though!

I think i got a show once my waters had broken with DS.

I've been having period-type tummy ache since about 5ish today but haven't had a show or anything so i dont know if "this is it" or not!!

Nothing.

Nada.

Zilch.

Hey ho, today is another day.... we shall see what happens!

Went to loo for a (ahem) no.2, had show and major contraction all at same time. That was the start!
