JARM · 27/11/2007 20:13

Ok, am 40+1, just had a show.

I know it could mean nothing yet, but I want experiences of how long between a show and labour!

With DD2 it was 6hrs

I only had a show when I was in labour, but my friend had a show 3 days before she went into labour.

Looks like it won't be long before you get to meet your lo - how exciting!

bozza · 27/11/2007 20:42

Both times I didn't have a show until I was in active labour. So max of 4 hours before birth for me!

Good luck.

skidaddle · 28/11/2007 09:52

a few days with DD - maybe 3 or 4?

Nbg · 28/11/2007 09:53

DD was just under 24 hours and ds was a day.

meep · 28/11/2007 09:53

a few hours for me until contractions started - but then didn't reach "active" labour for another 2 days!

Gumbo · 28/11/2007 09:56

An hour from the show to the 1st contraction (regular contractions right from the start). Good luck - shouldn't be long now!

scorpio1 · 28/11/2007 09:57

I've never seen my show. i have had 2 babies so far!

Good luck though

How are you today JARM?

phdlifeneedsanewlife · 28/11/2007 11:42

14 hours.

hope it goes well

JARM · 28/11/2007 15:59

Well... went to midwife - it was the nice one again and I got a sweep!!! Im 2cm dilated, waters are "bulging" apparently but cervix is still posterior. She did say if I havent had this baby in the next 48hrs she would eat her hat, so that has given me a bit of a boost!

Am at my dads now, and will stay here until tomorrow night to see if things kick off, if nothing we will go home and wait it out some more.

Booked for another sweep on monday morning, but MW was adament that visit would be a post-birth visit not a sweep visit!
