Hi all, are 2nd babies always bigger than first? My first born (boy) was born on his due date weighing 10lbs10 😆 we are expecting our second child any day now (a girl ) and I'm getting a little nervous 😂

I'm in a very similar situation, DS was 10lb11 almost 3 years ago. 13 weeks pregnant with number 2 now and concerned this one will be bigger too!

Jubilate · 02/07/2021 08:53

My youngest was an ounce lighter. But born three weeks earlier, so...

MaxwellsChocolate · 02/07/2021 08:57

First 10lb 5oz seven days over. Second 10lb 2oz five days over.

GlitteryFluff · 02/07/2021 08:58

11lb7oz was my first 15 days late
9lb14oz was my second 6 days early
8lb8oz was my third, 8 days early.

So nope, mine got smaller.
All c-sections, thank god.

But I do think its more common for them to get a bit bigger each time.

You can do it!

DS was just under 9lb and 2 weeks early. DD was 6lb 6oz! So no, not always the case!

GeoffreyGeoffreys · 02/07/2021 09:00

My 1st was 7lb 8 38+6
2nd 7lb 5 39+1
