I tried to have a vbac 12 months after my c-section. Didn't work but that was because the induction failed, not because of any complications from the previous c-section.

Thanks @elliejjtiny my trust won't induce for a VBAC

I don't know if this counts. Had unplanned C-section one summer no complications for me and was told that I would have no problem doing Vbac next time.

Had laparotomy 16mths later then 13 mths after that had an assisted vbac at a different hospital. Baby and me both healthy.

Was offered C-section from the beginning for baby 2 but not advised it was necessary which felt strange. On the day I was advised and told that it was taking too long and was given a timeframe to meet before it would go to C-section. I can't honestly say why I wanted to keep to vbac though. Hope all goes well for you.

@mrssunshinexxx sorry no it was 16m from c section for DD to laparotomy through the same incision. Then a further year and bit before the vbac so 2.5 years from c section. The lap was invasive but doesn't go through the uterus so no issue.

I wasn't given clear information about why they wanted to proceed to c section for DS just that things were taking too long and not progressing properly naturally. Eventually a Dr said I had half an hour and if he wasn't coming then they were doing c section. I have no idea how long I'd been there in total I just got the impression they had decided on C section very early on. With DD everything had been explained throughout and I had no concerns about progressing to the C section and we both recovered quickly and well so I don't know why I didn't concede second time except that it felt like that what they wanted to do even before it taking a while.

I had been reassured after c section that as it arose purely because of dd and not me that I should have no issues in going for vbac next time. I found it quite odd that with DS in the second hospital they seemed quite eager to tell me early on that I had the option of c section as I thought they generally tried to push the other way. My whole experience was very different in each hospital. Sorry not very helpful and all a very long time ago for me.
