Title says it all really.
Thought I'd start at about 35 weeks - what do people think?

I started taking them at 32 wks, accordind to advice I'd heard. But on buying them in the gealth food shop when I was 38 wks, the assistant def said from 35 wks.
Had a really quick and easy labour though! Pushing stage was 3 mins!!
Good luck

I didn't think raspberry leaf could actually bring on early labour - I would think secur's experience was coincidence.

I drank the tea from about 32 weeks (start with a low dose and build up nearer term). I have no idea if it helped my labour - both times I was induced due to unrelated complications, both times had a "natural" labour in that I had not ventous, or c-section. I did have epidurals and drips and other things though !

Not before 36 weeks. I took the capsules for a week (low dose) then switched to the tablets (higher dose)at 37 wks. Within days contractions started and Ds was 2 weeks early - m/w said it was the RL tea tablets. Had emergency c-section - ds never engaged and was in distress (meconium etc.) so clearly not ready to turn up at that point! Still 8lbs 8oz though!

ok - I bow to greater knowledge !

Excuse my ignorance but am 29 weeks pregnant and never heard of raspberry leaf tablets. Can you tell me what they are for? I'm guessing it is to make labour easier, but how? And if it does make labour easier...obviously...where can i get some!

i am due on sunday (my last child was 2 weeks late and i was induced) and i'm starting to panic! i really dont want to go over again!
can anyone give me some information on what this stuff is?
and where can i get some? is it safe?

OxyMoron · 08/11/2004 09:25

Look here lisawildish. It might answer some of your questions. Some peopke say taking double strength raspberry leaf tea can kick off labour, but I don't know if this is true or not.

thank you oxymoron! i now now what im going to do today!
he he

throckenholt · 08/11/2004 09:35

you can usually get the capsules or the tea from health food shops. I think the tea you can make stronger than the capsules - but you may not like the taste !

i know this sounds really silly question but
ive read about "the show / plug"???
