How did your first labour compare with your second?

My first was 25 hours, pethadine and gas and air, ended with ventouse.
I'm 23 weeks and literally having sleepless nights thinking about having to go through it again. I'm terrified. I'm vomit phobic which I managed to avoid in my first labour but I'm worried I won't be so lucky this time.
How was your second labour? Was it better?

My first was the exact same as yours nearly to a tee.
My second was a home birth in the pool, labour was recorded as like 1hr 30mins but was prob around 3 hours. Two paracetamol... and lots of breathing and knowing and trusting my body. I felt amazing afterwards.
All the very best wishes for you!!

First labour 36 hours, after 24 hours no progress so induction, epidural, got quite stressed and panicky.
Second labour was 12 hours. Was at home for 10 of those with a TENS machine on and it was all lovely and calm. Called the hospital to say I thought I was going through transition and needed to come in but midwife didn't believe it as I sounded too calm... By the time I arrived at hospital I was 10cm... I love the TENS machine.

First absolutely dire. Genuinely thought I was going to die in the last bit. No epidurals available in our NHS trust at the time.
Second one I nearly went for planned section in neighbouring trust area, but I got past it eventually. Couple of hours of labour and she just popped out, no drama!
