If so did you have a d&c?

Not sure what type of placenta I had but it didn't come on it's own after baby had arrived.

They tried to help it out by pulling the cord but it snapped and I bled, after a while I was taken to theatre for a manual removal of placenta. They gave a spinal block and the surgeon used their hands to reach up and seperate it from the uterus, then scooped it out. I was given antibiotics

I think they missed some and I did pass a few clots over the next week.

Placenta accreta is where the placenta abnormally grows into the uterine muscles. A d&c wouldn't really be effective, since it only takes away the endometrium. Maybe if only a small part of the placenta was invasive? I don't know. I do know that sometimes conservative management is an option, but most of the time a hysterectomy is recommended.
