Uterine tear

Hi

Has anyone had a vertical uterine tear during their section and gone on to have another. DS1 got stuck in the pelvis and I tore downward as they pulled him out.

I’m pregnant again and was hoping for a few people’s experiences. For example? We’re you allowed to vbac? We’re you able to carry to term?

Thank you all Smile

Hi I had a uterine tear during my second csection with my daughter. Went downwards towards bladder. The picture they drew looked awful and the consultant said no more babies for two years. I got pregnant again easily and wanted an elective csection but they said I could go natural if I wanted. Anyway I’ve just had my baby, went into labour spontaneously while in the antenatal clinic and had baby after a 30 minute labour and the scar didn’t split amazingly although it felt like it was going to because of the speed.

Baby came at 38 weeks which is normal for me.

My goodness that’s truly incredible! I was told section next time only. But my uterus was very thick apparently so they think I had a bandyl ring too Confused this needs to be checked though.

Thank you for responding.

It depends on the consultant I think, somebody of them are more enthusiastic about VBACs overall even with increased risk factors. Personally I didn’t really want to labour with a dodgy scar but baby had other ideas. I doubt you will have trouble getting pregnant though and good luck with whatever you choose.

Thank you so much. I think I’m the same as you don’t wanna risk it but best to prepare incase baby has other ideas
