DS2 is 2wks old. My loss has gone from the usual, to v v heavy (it gushed down my legs with a clot- the midwife checked me over, said i was fine) to that odd pale colour. Just been to the loo, and there's a patch of fresh red blood now

Is that alright does anyone know?

I seem to remmeber that it comes and goes...it probably means you are nearign the end

or maybe you have been quite active today? i know that does happen.

I read that it shouldnt go darker as it could be a sign that you are doing to much and not giving yourself time to heal but mine did go through a phase of going darker before it went lighter and disappered. If you are worried call your midwife or doc. Congrats on your new baby!

Mine came and went for ages after dd1. Sounds normal to me but if it gets heavy talk to your doctor just in case.

not heavy-wasn't sure if it was ok as didn't do this with DS. will just keep an eye on it.

Are you breastfeeding? My DS is 13 days old, and my loss is currently watery red / pinky colour. However after breastfeeding (or using my breast pump) I get a bit of a red gush when I stand up. Midwife says its perfectly normal. So is passing small clots, and getting crampy pains as your uterus contracts back down.
