Has anyone been induced twice?

Just asking for experiences really from people who have had more than one induction?

My first baby: induced at 40+11, born at 40+15 after delays in our rubbish local hospital. I had failed sweeps, pessary, waters broken, the drip etc. There was no one available to give me epidural so I had a 0-100mph birth in only 4 hours.

This time, history is repeating itself and I’m going in for induction tomorrow at 40+12. Just don’t think my crappy body know it’s supposed to go into labour Sad... anyway, does anyone think it might be different/ easier second time around?!

This time I’ve opted for an epidural before I have the drip which I know might slow things down but I found it so traumatic last time, I’d rather it be longer and less pain!

Is there a chance the pessary could put me into labour second time around or am I just being naive!

Yes me!!

Second induced birth was incredible and I would do it again and again.

I had epidural so took the intensity away.

1st induced birth - 2 days
2nd induced birth - 10 hours

Good luck x

Yes but if it happened again/innretrospect I would refuse inductions and ask for a c section directly (as first one ended in one anyway after a few days.)

Yes my second induction was much easier! I was found to be already dilated enough to go straight to the water breaking stage. No need for the pessary. Had the epidural straight away.

Yes 3 out of 4 times.

1st was shit.
2nd was my only spontaneous labour (at 9days over)
3rd induced at 42wks. Waters broken and a 2hr labour. She was also my biggest at 9lb 10.
4th was induced at 40wks due to size. Took more to get me going as 40wks is early for me. But still way easier than my first, I ended up with the drip but would only have it once an epidural was up and running. 4hrs.

I'm expecting again in June and I'm sure I'll be induced again too as my body also doesn't seem to go into labour without help.

Yes I have been induced twice, both times my waters broke but my labour didn't start so went in to start the induction process 24 hours later.
1st birth took forever, had a pessary at midnight on the Monday, didn't do a thing, ended up on the drip 1am Wednesday and baby born around 6pm after 17 hour labour.
Baby number 2, they gave me a 6 hour gel instead of a pessary as that's their protocol for second babies. Started off mild cramps almost straight away, in the morning I was allowed a 2 hour grace period to walk around to see if I could get things started naturally which they did but contractions still 7 mons apart so had the drip again. 5 hours from drip to baby, no pain relief except for g&a right at the end. Much less painful and controlled the second time and I felt really empowered afterwards.
I think your body just knows what to do the second time round, for the first I pushed for well over an hour but second was born in 4 pushes

@Lollipop53 how are you? I hope all went well for you and your LO!

I was induced all 3 times from a cold start (on due date, 35+3, 38+5). Short labours, gas and air (pethidine with DD2 but hated it).
