Anyone gave birth at 39 weeks?

Feeling so fed up and miserable now, I just feeling like I'm never going to actually give birth. I know it's a natural feeling but I just feel so depressed. Who gave birth on their 39th week of pregnancy? And before people say it - I know baby will come when she's ready, I'm just hoping for a bit of positivity!

I feel for you, and can understand why you are miserable and fed up.
I had my second baby at 38 weeks so there is still hope, try to plan something for everyday to keep yourself distracted xXx

BabbleBee · 25/04/2021 20:15

My 2nd baby was born at 38+4, so yes it’s possible!

TuesdayRuby · 25/04/2021 20:17

39+4 here but it was after a sweep! Ask for one if you’re really struggling.

Medra · 25/04/2021 20:18

My two were 39+4 and 39+1

ajaiahehssk · 25/04/2021 20:18

My first was 38+5 and my second bang on their due date at 40 weeks.

DramaAlpaca · 25/04/2021 20:19

Yes, me. Twice!

DC1 and DC3 both came spontaneously at 39+2.

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 25/04/2021 20:19

Went into labour at 38 +4 and 39 weeks exactly with my two.

seepingweeping · 25/04/2021 20:23

I did with my first.

EcoCustard · 25/04/2021 20:23

I gave birth at 39 weeks OP with dc3 but was an induction. Dc1&2 were not and 36 & 38 weeks so I was a little pissed off. On a positive note it was very quick. Hang on in there, and I hope baby arrives soon.

Pickle1991 · 25/04/2021 20:24

Oh amazing, thank you so much for the hope girls! Days just feel like weeks at this stage don't they, and I'm so grateful to be pregnant in the first place! But this now sucks lol!

Spontaneous labour, no sweeps or anything like that.

YouBoggleMyMind · 25/04/2021 20:27

39+3 here - first baby

mummabubs · 25/04/2021 20:27

I feel you OP. I was kept waiting until 42+2 with my firstborn and as crazy as it might sound I'm so grateful to be booked in for a caesarean in a couple of weeks when I'll be 39+5. Pregnancy is a long slog, you're nearly there even if it doesn't feel like it!

MrsTerryPratchett · 25/04/2021 20:29

I was three weeks late so anything under that would have been great! Grin

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 25/04/2021 20:33

My waters went at 39 weeks on the dot with DD.

grisen · 25/04/2021 20:33

My waters broke at 39 weeks, but it took him 2 days to arrive. My only advise is enjoy being outside before you go into hospital because my 3 days inside broke me and that was pre covid!!

sylbunny · 25/04/2021 20:35

I did last week! 38+6 actually. It was a huge surprise as my first was 41+3. I think the difference was that I was much more active this time round and my waters actually went as I was bending over dressing my toddler for bed.

Landlubber2019 · 25/04/2021 20:35

I was 39 + 2 with dc1 and 38 with dc2

IamnotH · 25/04/2021 20:36

My first was 38+4 and second was 39+3... lots of sex!

looloo247 · 25/04/2021 20:39

My first was 39+6 and am currently waiting for my second to arrive! 37+2 at the moment and seriously fed up so can sympathise with you!

BikeRunSki · 25/04/2021 20:40

DD came at 39 weeks on the nose.

weegiemum · 25/04/2021 20:47

Poor you, I felt like it would never end and mine were born at 39+3, 38+4 and 36+6 (induced). I know I'm very lucky to never have gone overdue, esp as my babies were big for their gestation (in order 9lb12oz, 9lb3oz and 7lb15oz).

Wishing you all the best for it coming soon, and enjoy your baby!

Notashandyta · 25/04/2021 20:48

First two came at 39 weeks exactly. Third at 40+6! Felt like forever!

Hang in there, it will happen soon. Exciting!

Vooga · 25/04/2021 20:49

I gave birth at exactly 39 weeks

Twizbe · 25/04/2021 20:58

First was 38+6 and second was 40+2.

Those last few weeks are so hard. I really think it's nature's way of calming you before the birth. By that point you're so uncomfortable you don't care about giving birth lol.
