Postpartum periods

I just wondered how long it took for your periods to return to normal. I am 5 months PP and my cycles are every 21 days! It was never this short before DS was born. Is this normal? I feel like I'm on my period all of the time! Will things settle down again or shall I chase this up with my Dr? Any advice would be greatly appreciated x

I had my 1st period about 5 weeks after I gave birth. It was a blood bath, way worse than the bleeding I had after my birth and it lasted ages! I'm now 7 months PP and to be honest, they're still a bit all over the place. I think its normal for it to take some time for your body to get back into the swing of things

@DisneyGirl2387 I had my daughter 11 months ago and got my first period just after 6 months. My cycles are all over the place, 35 days, 21 days, 16 days and at the moment I'm waiting for it at 33 days. My Gp wasn't too pried when I mentioned it during a telephone consultation about another issue

Thanks everyone it is good to know that this is 'normal'. You have put my mind at rest. I will just cross my fingers they soon start to get longer!
