It can be a sign of low iron.

Have you had your levels checked? I had low iron and breathlessness after all my DC. Floradix, spatone or other iron supplements and plenty of steak, spinach, kale and vitamin C remedied the situation quite quickly.

You are at high risk of a blood clot when post partum like this. Breathlessness is a symptom of a blood clot in your lungs which is a medical emergency. You should seek urgent medic help immediately.

It’s also fully possible that it’s something less urgent like low iron but you must get seen as an emergency to rule out a blood clot. Don’t wait, go now

Get medical advice immediately. Don’t wait. Could be various factors but a pulmonary embolism needs to be ruled out ASAP. Go to A&E now.

Is there an emergency number on your notes or info given to you at discharge? If so ring this ASAP. If no luck with that then 111or a and e.
