North Middlesex Hospital Experiences?

Hi,

I am due for an induction next week and have been told it will start off at the triage (pessary) and depending if it's busy they'll take me up to the labour ward.

Consultant mentioned my husband will be allowed to stay overnight which I'm relieved as I didn't want to be alone. He won't be able to come inside the triage for the initial part of induction only when I'm being moved to the labour ward.

I wanted to hear your experience for those who laboured at north mid. How was your induction process? Were you given a private room? If so where was your partner sleeping and do I need to take extra pillow and bedding?

Also what happens after birth?

Hi@noraluv, I can’t provide any help but I’m due to be induced at north mid at the end of this month. Really pleased to hear your husband can stay over, I’ve been asking lots of questions at my recent appointments but no one could say for certain. In terms of the process I was advised it would depend on how busy they were but once in active labour I’d definitely be moved to a private room if not before.
