Pain post C section - is this normal?

I had a Cat 2 EMCS about 12 weeks ago. All seemed to go well and I felt fine by about 4 weeks after, had numbness round the area but that was it. In the last week or so, the area round my scar has started feeding a bit sore. It's not particularly painful, but it is new. I don't want to bother the doctor if it's normal, or ignore it of it's not.

So... normal after effects of a C section, or something that needs to be checked out?

I found that as bits lost their numbness, they felt uncomfortable until I got used to them. It was a long time ago, so I can't recall exact timescales I'm afraid but it definitely took a long time (longer than 12 weeks) for me to not experience the odd psin/twinge/discomfort. Some of the numbness has never worn off, which was a bit weird to get used to.

My emcs was 22 weeks ago and it still gets sore from time to time. No harm in going to your GP - they will likely ask you to send a photo over.

Thanks both. It does sound like it's fairly normal then. It makes sense to me that bits night hurt a bit as they lose the numbness (but I'd not put two and two together there).
