Best obstetrician

Hi Ladies

I wanted to ask for some suggestions for private obstetricians in London who provide great care and non shelf scars.

I had an open myomectomy in 2015 to remove 6 fibroids. Although the operation went well, the healing did not and I was back under the knife 2 weeks later when I developed a hematoma and the incision opened up on one side. This left me with a slightly raised shelf. I then had my daughter by elective c section in 2017 on NHS at St Thomas. The procedure went well but I had horrible anxiety about how I would heal and it took about 8 months to get over this anxiety. Along with suddenly having ovulation pains after having my daughter I am convinced I have a lot of scar tissue. I was also left with a more prominent c section shelf and quite a deep scar. I am pregnant again and want to go private with an Obstetrician who can help tidy up my old scar and create a neat even one. I am terrified it is going to look worse than it already does and I won't be able to deal with it. I love my daughter more than anything in the world but it hasn't changed how I feel/view myself. Also to make sure everything is alright in there and my bladder isn't sticking to my womb/scar tissue around the ovaries etc

Any suggestions will be appreciated please. I have heard good things about Keith Duncan but wondered if anyone has any particular stories in regards to their c section shelf improving after multiple c sections with a skilled Obstetrician?

Thanks!

I don’t have a complicated history but Keith Duncan is fantastic. He delivered my second last week and couldn’t recommend him enough.

I also had my baby at St Thomas but privately. My obstetrician was Mr Kelleher and I highly recommend him. My incision is still healing but so far (3+ weeks since section) it looks great!
