Birthing partner?

I’m due to have my LO next month and just with Covid I’m wondering if birthing partners will be allowed in? I’m going in for a planned csection.
My partner is/was very sensitive with our last baby and ended up getting very sick after me giving birth, he doesn’t feel as though he’s strong enough to do it again, but if I don’t want to go with anyone else he will of course be there. I understand his situation, he’s not very well at keeping it together at the best of times.
I’m planning to ask a friend of mine.

At my hospital birth partners are allowed. I think it varies trust to trust though. See if there is any info on the hospital website or Facebook page. It should be publicised somewhere.

forever thank you for that. I checked on the trust website and they allow partners but can be changed at anytime due to Covid. Atleast that clears it for me.
Many thanks

At my hospital they're only allowed in once your in active labour, so not allowed in for inductions etc until your waters are broke and your over 5/6cm dilated
