Waters broke at 36+3

Spontaneously my waters went last night at 36+3, came into hospital which they started antibiotics and advised that if labour hadn't started within 24 hours they would send me home with a 10 day course of the antibiotics and if labour hadnt started within those 10 days they could look to induce me.

Just stressing as I feel to potentially leave baby without any fluid at a slight pre term gestation is risky. Feel like at this time I've just been put in a side room and left as I've had no signs on impending labour just discomfort from what I believe is them moving and pushing on things from loss of the waters.

Do I push to ask for something to happen before I go home as due to leave at 6PM or follow the advise they have given. At this point in time I'm willing to have a C-section just to ensure that I can get them here quickly and safely rather than risking it and leaving them unprotected.

Thanks!x

Keep drinking water, the sac can refill. I didn’t know this until my waters broke early with my little one.

So currently my waters are still going, they think that they will continue to trickle until baby is born x

Yes this will happen, but the sac refills as you drink the water if you see what I mean. So it never gets completely empty. My waters broke a week before delivery with both DS and DD and although they continued to leak, they were refilling.
