how long were you in granny pants after CS? I am 5 weeks today and still finding that they are much more comfortable.

DH is hoping they will be gone soon!

8 years and counting

kinderBOOsurprise · 31/10/2007 21:00

lol, Lulu.

About 4 weeks, I think.

mumzarello · 31/10/2007 21:08

14 months & counting - they are really comfy

4.5 months and counting... Scar still quite tender and 'normal' (& more attractive knickers) still roll in to the scar. This was my second emergency c-section- I think after my first I resumed wearing normal knickers at around 6 months... But I still have quite a bit of weight to lose this time to comfortably fit into my 'old' knickers and don't want to have to buy bigger ones so will stay in the granny pants til then (it's more motivation for me!!)

About 5 or 6 weeks. I really wanted to be in normal knickers so I could feel a bit more like myself again! Still not back in my really pretty knickers though and DS will be 5 months soon....

chocbutton · 06/11/2007 19:07

After wearing these for ages, I now wear these which are slightly better, and don't roll into scar! DS is now 10 months so god knows how long I'll be in them for

ScottishMummy · 06/11/2007 19:09

so so long they were hideous aesthetically but so comfortable

Highlander · 07/11/2007 20:12

I made myself throw them out at 6 weeks both times.

Otherwise I would still be wearing them

ChippyMinton · 07/11/2007 20:17

i'm with lulumama on this one - 6 years and counting . Because they are comfy do not give one a VPL.

Bewilderbeast · 07/11/2007 20:25

12 and a half months and counting!!!!! Wouldn't have gone near granny pants in the past I was a g-string girl. Now I live with the possible vpl risk for the comfort and warmth factor

suwoo · 07/11/2007 20:28

Oh, God, No!! I started wearing granny thongs as soon as I got out of hospital!! They were 4 sizes bigger than my pre pregnancy size, but I could bear granny knickers no longer.

About 7 months. I found jeans hurt too as they dig in when you bend over (which obviously you do alot with a new baby) so was in tracksuit bottoms which just compounded the unsexiness problem..
