How should I use a Birth Ball?

Hi everyone, A friend of mine has let me borrow her birthing ball, as I'm keen to encourage my baby into the best position for labour, but I'm unsure exactly what to do with it. I've pumped it up and so far have just been sitting on it, instead of slouching on the sofa when at home, but are there other exercises I should be doing? And how pumped up should it be? Very firm or soft? Sorry if these are silly questions, I just don't feel I'm making as much use of it as I should be! Cheers, Tina

When using it in labour move your self around in a figure of 8 shape every time you have a contraction. It really helps.
