Caring for a tear?

Hi guys,

I have a smallish tear, caused by little ones finger nail on his way out. It's apparently quite a clean cut, and i haven't had a stitch in it as i wanted to give it a go at healing on it's own, and it's not bleeding.

Any care tips? I didn't have any tears with DS1, so not sure what's best to do.

lavender oil in the bath - 10 drops with half a cup of milk (helps oil mix in the water)
don;t have the water too hot either

take some arnica tablets - you can get them from Holland and Barret

and congrats on your baby

totally agree with ruby - lavendar oil+milk and arnica really helped with my really horrid 2nd degree tear. All the best with your new LO
