For Mums of more than 1. Did labour pains/contractions feel the same the second time round? Was it a familiar feeling or different to your first? Not asking about the childbirth just the pain.

I found contractions less painful. Maybe because I'd been through it before so it wasn't such a shock

Individual contractions about the same.

But because it progressed faster it felt less bad and less exhausting.

Same amount of pain but much quicker labour

I knew what was going on much better, that's for sure. And so much faster. And because I felt the 'push' urge much more strongly, it was overall less painful and all over so much quicker too.

Totally different for me. No slow build up, went from zero to a hundred. All done in less than 4 hours though. Was 36+ with first.

They felt exactly the same but second baby was born in 45 mins (from beginning to end) so the intensity was much greater/no build up.
