hi im 39+2 having fourth baby in previous pregnancys i have been induced at term plus 12 every time so have no experience of going into spontaneous labour. i have been getting quite strong braxton hicks/period pains on and off all day and now i have had pink snotty discharge when i went for a wee (sorry for tmi).is this slow labour/prelabour/early labour whatever its called? anybody else started like this?how do i keep the pains going so i can get the lil fella movin out?
any advice gratefully recieved i would love to not be sooo overdue this time

Have some rhubard.

Keep active but not too much so you are too
tired for labour.

Book something you really want to do for the next couple of days, that should do it!

Ooh sounds like it could be. Have a walk round. Stay upright and keep your fingers crossed (but not your legs)

Yes, that's how it started for me in all 3 pregnancies: regular period pains and a show. In all 3 cases I had a baby in under 24 hours but this is not always the case

thanks for the quick responses peeps got no rhubarb in (love it though!) will have to substitute with maltesers instead lol will keep updating

dont think tesco garage has rhubarb but might fetch some tomorrow havent heard of it before but willin to try almost anything!

good luck sounds like youve had a show as i described it when midwife asked TMI ALERT tinned meat jelly with streaks blood in it!!!
